Prouty Ultimate Overview

 

Over the 9 years of this ride, Prouty Ultimate cyclists have raised more than $2.7 million for cancer research and patient services at Norris Cotton Cancer Center, one of just 47 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country.

Background

  • Two-day, 200 mile bike ride
  • Day One Century – Friday – leave from Hanover, NH – Vermont 100 mile route
  • Day Two Century – Saturday –
    • Prouty Century loop starting in Hanover, NH, OR
    • the new hybrid gravel metric century route (64 miles)

The Event

  • Thursday, July 6, pre-event
    • Opening dinner – at the Hanover Inn, Hanover, NH
    • 3:30-5:30pm: bike tune-ups (if needed)
    • after dinner – yoga on the grass
    • If desired, riders stay at air conditioned Dartmouth College dorm: Andres (overnight housing optional)
  • Friday – July 7, Day 1 Century
    • Pre-ride breakfast­­­­ at Brace Commons (connected to Andres dorm)
    • Mass start on the Dartmouth Green
    • Four SAGs plus roving support
    • Scenic route through Vermont’s most beautiful countryside
    • Post-ride massage 
    • Post-ride fajita and salad bar sponsored by Lebanon’s Moe’s Southwest Grill
    • Post-ride reception at the Canoe Club
    • Overnight accommodations at Dartmouth College dorm: Andres (included in ride)

  • Saturday – July 8, Day 2 Century
    • Breakfast at Dartmouth College dorm
    • Riders join The Prouty Century or hybrid gravel metric century
    • Eight full-service SAGs plus roving support
    • Post-ride massage available
    • All-day Prouty party with food, entertainment at the Richmond Middle School

Registration

  • Limited to 150 cyclists
  • Deadline is June 30, 2017
  • Fundraising minimum is $2,500 for an individual
  • Bring a friend, an Ulti-‘mate,’ and each raise $1,850
